Alma Vida Favorites: Monthly Roundup – July Edition

Better late than never — here are my July Favorites for Alma Vida. July was a full, vibrant month filled with movement, home refresh projects, celebrating meaningful family anniversary milestones, and continuing to deepen my personal health journey.
Favorite Food of the Month: Bonafide Provisions Bone Broth
One of my hero foods this month has been bone broth from Bonafide Provisions. It is found in the frozen food section in a variety of health food stores. This bone broth is the real deal. It is rich in flavor, beautifully gelatinous, fully organic, and made without preservatives or any questionable ingredients. After learning that I have Hashimoto’s (an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the thyroid tissue), I’ve been intentionally focusing on foods that help heal, soothe, and repair the gut. Bone broth is one of the most powerful additions. It contains glutamic acid, which the body converts into glutamine, a key amino acid that supports the integrity of the intestinal wall and can be incredibly helpful for leaky gut, IBS, chronic bloating, and overall digestive resilience. It’s also naturally rich in arginine, collagen, minerals, and nourishing compounds that support tissue repair, immune balance, and inflammation regulation. Truly a superfood beverage!
Favorite Ritual: Ending my evening with a cup of Bone Broth
To pair with my favorite food of the month, my absolute favorite way to wind down in the evening has been a warm cup of bone broth. I keep it simple, adding just a pinch of mineral‑rich salt and a crack of black pepper. It becomes this soothing, grounding ritual that signals to my body it’s time to rest. It’s comforting, nourishing, and gives me an easy boost of protein and hydration before bed. This little nightly practice has genuinely supported deeper, more restorative sleep and helps me end the day feeling calm, replenished, and cared for.
Favorite Product: The Tinted Duo from Primally Pure
Primally Pure comes through yet again with another knockout summer essential. Over the past few years, I’ve slowly transitioned my skincare routine toward cleaner, non‑toxic products, and even with my own personal aesthetic, I always gravitate toward that “barely‑there” makeup look. Fresh, dewy, and effortless!
The Tinted Duo from Primally Pure has become my go‑to glow in under 60 seconds. Pair your perfect shade of the Sun Serum Tinted SPF 30 with the Lip + Cheek Tint SPF 15 for a healthy, radiant complexion that delivers lightweight coverage, mineral sun protection, and a natural flush of color. It’s simple, quick, and gives that soft, sun‑kissed finish without feeling heavy or overly made‑up.
These formulas are powered by grass‑fed tallow, non‑nano zinc oxide, and antioxidant‑rich botanicals, ingredients that actually nourish the skin while they enhance it. They hydrate, protect, and brighten in just two easy steps, making it easier than ever to achieve a fresh‑faced glow that aligns with a clean‑beauty lifestyle.
I chose the Tan shade for the skin tint and Hibiscus for the Lip + Cheek Tint, and I’m obsessed with how natural and flattering they are. Plus, when you purchase the bundle, you get a great discount — and you know I love a good savings moment.
Favorite Personal Accomplishment: Going Dairy and Gluten Free
July has been a truly transformative month. After learning that I’ve been experiencing Hashimoto’s, I knew it was time to make meaningful changes to support my healing. One of the biggest shifts has been going completely dairy‑free and gluten‑free. For many people, especially those navigating autoimmune issues, these foods can be highly inflammatory and can contribute to ongoing symptoms. To create the best possible environment for my body to repair, I decided to remove them cold turkey.
It’s been an adjustment, but with my husband's support, encouragement, and willingness to make changes alongside me, it has felt so much more doable than I expected. Something is empowering about choosing foods that nourish rather than inflame — it feels like a major step toward reclaiming my health, my energy, and my long‑term wellbeing. This shift feels like a real accomplishment and a foundational part of getting my body back into balance.
Favorite Recipe: Easy Almond Flour Cookies
Gluten‑free treats can be notoriously hard to find, especially those that taste good and feel like the real deal. This chocolate chip cookie recipe from Sweet & Savory absolutely delivers. It’s simple to make, comes together quickly, and tastes just like a classic chocolate chip cookie.
I added HU Dark Chocolate Baking Chips along with a handful of Rolled Oats from Farmer’s We Know for extra texture and richness. The result was a delicious, cozy, sweet treat that feels indulgent without any gluten. It’s officially a year‑round staple in my kitchen.
Favorite Show: Elle
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Legally Blonde franchise, so when I found out they were releasing a new series called Elle, I was immediately in. The show takes us back to 1995, long before Elle Woods became the iconic fish‑out‑of‑water at Harvard. Instead, we meet her in the messy, dramatic world of high school, navigating tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and some truly questionable fashion choices.
This unexpected chapter of her life gives us a glimpse into the experiences that shaped Elle into the confident, whip‑smart young woman we all know and love. It’s cute, nostalgic, and such an easy watch. I really enjoyed the first season, and I’m already excited about what’s coming next.
